Learning does not end in May for Summit students.

Through community relationships developed through job shadow, internships, guest speakers, field experiences, and other friends of The Summit, students are provided opportunities to expand their learning outside the regular academic school year. This summer, Summit students are busy with a wide variety of learning and working opportunities.

Adrianna R. (11th grade) will intern with Missouri State University’s Tent Theatre production of Oklahoma, an opportunity rarely offered to high school students.

Theo S. (11th grade) will attend Missouri State University’s Public Affairs Camp. She was selected to attend as a guest of the university.

Nate L. (12th grade) and Theo S. will visit South Korea on a selective scholarship funded by the South Korean government.

Joe M. (10th grade) will attend the Drury Jazz Camp as well as continue studying composition through UMKC and be a camp assistant for the Summer at the Summit’s Songwriting Camp.

Lydia S. (11th grade), Sara S.(10th Grade), and Pooja P.(10th grade) will be a camp assistants at Summer at the Summit.

Ayush D. (9th grade) is mentoring two Korean exchange students.
