The Summit can add “rock stars” to the list of students in the school. On Saturday, September 24, The Summit All-Star band, comprised of students in 6-12th grade, performed at the Annual ANPAC Car Show for kids held at the ANPAC facility in Springfield. The All Stars performed a half-hour set list of popular songs 100% live, including “Firework,” “Breathe” and “Apologize.” In the audience were their families, other Summit students and families, and spectators from the event. They were supported by their families, and future All-Star band members (younger students). Many spectators were heard commenting on how wonderful their performance was.

The ANPAC event coordinators were so impressed, they have asked the band to perform next year as well. Where can you catch them perform next? You can see them at ANPAC’s 5K event. If you miss them at the 5K, you can catch them, along with the rest of The Summit’s stellar students, at The Summit’s Fall Concert, held at Drury University’s Clara Thompson Hall on November 11. Keep your eyes on these performers, because they keep getting better and better!
