On November 14, The Summit fourth graders competed in the Noetic Learning Math Contest, an elementary math problem solving contest held twice a year. Over 18,000 students representing 944 teams across the country participated in the fall contest.

Govind Nair was the winner of The Summit team. Additionally, Govind was awarded the National Honor Roll title received by the top 10% of participating students in the country.

In addition, five fourth graders  received Honorable Mention:  Claire Cunningham, Esther Ji, Dorian Khoshyomn, Devin Landrum, and Danielle Messenger.

The purpose of participating in the contest is to stimulate students’ interest in math and to inspire them to excel in math. It is COOL to be good at math!
