In case you haven’t heard, The Summit Prep/NCA Swimming & Diving Team placed seventh at the State Meet this past weekend! The team of only five high school ladies (four swimmers and one diver) scored 85 points during the State Meet. Summit junior Krista Shimizu was ranked 14th in the diving out of 51 girls. Summit sophomore Claire Workman competed in many of the swimming events, including the consolation 200-yard medley with NCA students Claire and Katie McCune and Molly Moore. The group placed first in that event with a time of 1:52:28.From The Ozarks Sports Zone:

“Feeling victorious Saturday was Springfield’s Summit Prep/New Covenant Academy girls swim team when they took seventh-place overall with a total of 85 points and with only five girls… Head swimming coach Alex Miller said, ‘This is a huge deal. We didn’t score any points at all last year. And we got seventh this year with five people; four who swam, one who dove. I’m very pleased with the results.'”
