Our Junior Camp students had so much fun learning about Eric Carle today!
We read “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?” and used the story as our main focus for color and animal recognition, writing and graphing. We made puppets using characters pulled from the story and had our own puppet shows that each student made-up on the spot. Very entertaining! We also painted the outline of a bear with brown paint and covered it in coffee grounds. It was a fun sensory project, especially because most of the junior campers thought they were getting to play with dirt! We ended the day by reading “Today is Monday” and reviewing the days of the week, including the month and season we’re in.
We can’t wait to see what the rest of the week has in store for us!
