New Summit Parent Orientation
This event, held prior to the beginning of the school year, is a forum for questions and answers from parents to parents. Also included is an introduction to The Summit Parent Organization and its purpose, benefits, and goals.
New Summit Family Mentor Program
This program puts current families in contact with new Summit families to help them with the transition into The Summit community. Lists of parent mentors are provided to new families with their enrollment packet, and these families are encouraged to reach out to their mentors for questions, comments, and socialization.
First Day of School Activities
This fun, high-energy celebration on the first day of school is designed to welcome all new and returning students to school. Faculty and staff members, as well as representatives of the Summit Parent Organization provide a warm welcome back to a new school year.
Boo-Hoo Coffee
This off campus event is held for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten Summit parents to enjoy breakfast refreshments and ease the transition of students starting school.
Back to School Bash
The entire Summit community is invited to an afternoon pizza party and outdoor celebration at the Pavilion and Park at Chesterfield Family Center to celebrate the start of a new school year and to meet new friends and enrich old friendships.
Doughnuts with Dad
This is a time for students to gather with their dads or special male friends before the start of the school day to enjoy a special treat of doughnuts and juice.
Annual Summit Gala
The Gala is an annual adults-only event for parents and community partners of The Summit to enjoy an evening of entertainment, dining, silent auction, and live auction at an off campus venue to show support for the school. All proceeds from this event benefit The Summit.
Class Winter Party
Students in all grades enjoy a party in their classroom, organized by the parent class representatives, which takes place from 11:30 a.m. until dismissal at 1:00 p.m. during the last day of school, before the start of winter break.
Trivia Night
Summit parents and community partners of The Summit are invited to an off campus venue to enjoy an adults-only evening of trivia and dinner. All proceeds from this event benefit The Summit.
Teacher Appreciation Week
During the first week of May, our teachers are celebrated and recognized by the parents and students. The classroom representative will communicate to parents the events planned for our teachers.
Mother’s Day Tea
This event is for students and their mother or special female friend to enjoy tea and treats during a one-hour celebration on a school day during the month of May.
Last Day of School Celebration
Parents are invited to join their child on the last day of school for a morning of fun and outdoor celebration, held at a local park or location that will be announced prior to the last day of school.
The Summit Run
Summit families and friends are invited to register for this annual run/walking event, with awards in various age groups and categories. All proceeds from this event will benefit The Summit.
Fall and Spring Book Fairs
The Scholastic book fair is held on campus twice a year to provide parents and students the opportunity to purchase books, posters, and a variety of educational items. All proceeds from this event benefit The Summit.
Mum Sales
Orders are taken during the fall for Summit families to purchase quality mums. All proceeds from this event will benefit The Summit.
SCRIP
Parents may purchase gift cards at our school office or on the school website from a variety of stores, without any additional gift card fees. The school will receive a percentage of your purchase to benefit the program, along with a portion of this amount being applied towards your child’s tuition for the upcoming Summit school year.
Box Tops/Nestle Water Bottle Labels/Campbell Soup UPC Points/Best Choice UPC’s/ Capri Sun Pouches
Box tops and labels found on cereal boxes, cake mixes, and a variety of commonly used products may be clipped from the packages and delivered to your child’s classroom teacher or school office. The labels collected will be redeemed for cash to benefit our school.
Grant Committee
The committee is comprised of a group of parents who perform needs assessments, research grant opportunities, and prepare quality grant applications to receive funding for our school for a variety of programs and equipment.
