Have an idea to better our school?  Gather your friends and find a solution for that idea!

Check out the Parent Action Form under the SPO tab on the Summit website (under parents).  Additional copies are available in the office.

Ideas should encompass systemic aspects of our school such as:
Technology, safety, school building and grounds, equipment, supplies, fundraising ideas and community building activities. 

This form and process should not be used to address personnel issues.  If you have a problem with a teacher or staff member, this should be discussed with the teacher first, followed by the applicable school director (lower school - Becky Alexander or middle school - Kathy Reynolds) and finally the Head of School (Karen Sweeney). 

Procedures:
•    Complete all parts of the form- the idea, the benefits, the solution, the estimated cost and timing.

•    Submit the form to the SPO folder located in the office or email it to Angie Workman at mworkm_angie@yahoo.com at least one week prior to the monthly SPO meeting.

•    All ideas will be reviewed and the parent submitting the form will be asked to present their idea at the next SPO Executive meeting.  Ideas and recommendations will be presented to Karen Sweeney on a case by case basis.  The individual(s) with the idea must be prepared to assist the school in carrying out the task.   All decisions regarding the idea will be communicated back to the person(s) submitting the idea.
