Walk to Cure Diabetes

Fourth graders at The Summit have chosen the Springfield 2012 Walk to Cure Diabetes as an upcoming project.  Our team name is The Summit Eagles Diabetes Destroyers. We have a very personal reason for choosing this project: two of our classmates are Type 1 diabetics. We are excited to raise funds that will go to Type 1 research as well as local outreach programs.  We would like your help and support.  It is our goal for everymember of The Summit community to join our team and participate in the walk on Saturday, April 28th, 10 a.m. on the Drury campus.   Our team goal was to raise $500.  As of March 11th, our team has registered thirteen walkers and raised $1,380.00!!

Visit the JDRF site and look for our team in the box labeled Top Teams.  Click on The Summit Eagles Diabetes Destroyers and you will be taken to our team page where you can sign up for the walk or make a donation to a walker.
