Daily Review

First grade students began the first full week of school with a daily review, which will be completed each day during our morning work time.  Students will work independently to answer questions, and then we will check our work as a group at morning meeting.  The daily review consists of both language and math related questions.  It provides students with frequent and focused practice, serving as both a review and preview of skills.  Through the math portion, students practice number sense, computation, and word problems in addition to questions relating to geometry, algebra, measurement, and data analysis.   Likewise, in the language section, students practice a variety of language and reading skills involving capitalization, punctuation, grammar, comprehension, vocabulary, word work, and reference skills.
