Halloween

First graders enjoyed Halloween themed centers today starting with a BrainPOP Jr. video.  We learned about the origins of Halloween, how it was first celebrated by the Celts of Great Britain and Ireland, discussed Halloween traditions and talked about Halloween safety.  Students enjoyed reading Halloween themed books, writing about costumes in their journal, and completing several math activities using Halloween objects and spacial reasoning.
