Stars and Constellations

First graders have learned all about stars and constellations.  Practicing reading comprehension skills, students read with a partner and then wrote facts they recalled about various constellations.  Students also identified false statements about stars and then rewrote them  to make true statements.  We even tied our study of geometry into our space studies as students created their own constellations by drawing points and using a straight edge to make line segments.
