Daily Review

As part of our morning routine, Summit first graders will complete a daily review.  The daily review consists of both a math an language section, serving as both a review and preview of skills.  Students will keep their daily review in their purple morning work folder.  They will work to complete the daily review individually, and then, most days, we will check our work as a group during our morning meeting.  On occasion, I will review the daily review to ensure that students are completing their work and correcting it as needed.  Some of the skills addressed in this week’s work include language use, sentence structure, categorizing, consonant and vowel sounds, rhyming, counting by fives, fact practice, ordinal numbers, and solving word problems.
