Veterans Day

Today, we celebrated Veterans Day, a day in which we honor those who have served in the armed forces.  First graders have and will continue to complete centers relating to this important national holiday as we learn about the responsibilities of America’s armed forces, the history of the holiday, and how the holiday is observed.    Students are participating in shared read alouds,  reading with partners, viewing brief videos,  sorting true and false statements, assembling timelines, and writing facts.
