First grade students continue to build number sense, and throughout second trimester math, will focus heavily on number and operations. Using available Singapore math resources, along with many other supplemental materials, students have been working to solidify understanding of numbers, addition, and subtraction within ten. They have learned about number bonds, part-whole relationships, and ordinal numbers. Throughout this process, we are learning and applying many addition and subtraction strategies.
