They help us lift, raise, push, pull, move, split, and hold things together.  Throughout centers last week and continuing into this week, students are participate in activities aimed it introducing them to each of the six simple machines (inclined plane, wedge, screw, lever, pulley, and wheel and axle).  We have been and will continue to read books, make books, sort objects, and explore real world examples.
