We’re 100 Days Smarter

First grade students celebrated the 100th Day of school with literacy, mathematics, and movement activities all centered around the theme 100.  Activities included the following:

  • Practicing numeral writing and adding tens to double digit numbers to complete a 100 mystery picture
  • Reading One Hundred Ways to Get to 100 and counting to 100+ by 1s, 2s, 3s, 4s, 5s, 10s, 20s, and 25s
  • Making 100 masks
  • Counting and dancing to the 100th Day Macarena
  • Writing a response to the prompt If I had $100… 
  • Selecting a math choice activity
  • Partner reading The 100th Day Project
  • Listening to books read online (Wolf’s Chicken Stew,  Centipede’s 100 Shoes, One Hundred Hungry Ants)
