Today marks the end of the first trimester.   Listed below are a few of the literacy and math related skills students are working to master.  Student work samples not on display at our celebration will be shared at our conference next week.

  • beginning blends and digraphs
  • common and proper nouns
  • singular and plural nouns
  • recognition of 100 + sight words
  • identification of basic story elements (character, setting, plot)
  • decoding strategies
  • sequencing and ordinal numbers
  • addition and subtraction fact recall (zero facts, counting on, counting back)
  • number sense
  • number bonds
  • 3-D shape properties and recognition
  • symmetry and congruency
