It was a busy and productive day in first grade.  Listed below are the many centers students participated in today.

  • type spelling words
  • read level appropriate text, take the quiz, and listen on Raz-Kids
  • complete insect and woodlands habitat research, writing, and illustrations
  • read level appropriate text in their reading folder and determine the author’s purpose (to persuade, to inform, and to entertain)
  • begin a measurement project by measuring students in inches and feet
  • partner read Food Chain and Animals! Animals!
  • begin a new math packet focusing on numbers to forty (counting, comparing, assigning place value, and adding)
