Wednesday, April 27th

This week, students are busy preparing for next week’s Grandparents’ Day celebration.  Today, we completed our animal reports which will accompany the at home projects due next Monday.  We are moving forward with our “My Animals Book” and “My Habitat Book” as students have now completed the mammals, insects, amphibians, arctic, woodlands, and rainforest portions. We are wrapping up our frog projects prior to moving onto reptiles and the desert.  Animal and habitat books, reports, and projects will all be shared with our grandparents during the classroom experience portion of Grandparents’ Day.  Finally, students are working on their first Google Slide presentation. During the presentation portion of the day, students will share some of their favorite things about first grade at The Summit including field trips, centers, specials classes, projects, and more.
