A Rainy Wednesday

Summit first graders returned to school today ready to learn today.  We kicked the day off we our morning routines by completing a daily language and math review and gathering together for a morning meeting.  Students were eager to start on centers, a continuation of activities from Grandparents’ Day.  The following handout was given to  grandparents and special friends on Tuesday, providing an explanation of student learning.

This afternoon, we hit the lights, turned on some soft music, and spent nearly 30 minutes quietly writing about yesterday’s events in our journals.  While I unfortunately do not have photos capturing the excitement of yesterday, I do have a few pictures today’s rainy yet peaceful afternoon.
