Vowel Team ee

616wVDS4BiL._SX258_BO1,204,203,200_After completing our partner spelling assessment from last week, we began our new pattern, vowel team ee.  To introduce this pattern, students listened to Beep! Beep! Go to Sleep! and identified ee words.  As we began to brainstorm our list of words, Summit first graders recognized that it can be difficult to distinguish long e words with ea from long e words with ee.  We’ll practice this skill later in the week with a game of Four in a Row.
