Wind Energy

Students in first grade have been learning about renewable and non-renewable energy. One example of renewable energy that students learned about was wind energy. We created pinwheels so that students could see wind energy in action. We brought our pinwheels outside so that students could test them out in the wind. They observed what made the pinwheel move, and what didn’t. Some students found that when the wind wasn’t blowing, they could create their own wind by running!
