Inside Recess

With the recent chilly weather, we’ve been enjoying many of our recesses indoors. I challenge students to get creative and think of ideas for recess that are “screen-free”. Students are great about coming up with ideas, and today’s recess activities included marble mazes made of recyclables, Connect4 competitions, drawing tutorials with friends, playing school, and finding new, cozy spots to read (like under a table!). It is so much fun to see students cooperate, problem-solve, learn and play together.
