Telling Time – Analog Clocks

In the last few weeks, first graders have been working on reading time on analog clocks and writing the time in digital notation. We started by reviewing what students learned about clocks in Kindergarten by practicing telling time to the hour and half hour. After students had mastered those times, we moved on to reading time to the quarter hour. Soon, we will practice telling time to the nearest 5 minute until students are pros at reading an analog clock!
