That’s EPIC!

The third graders love reading books and one of the resources we use to read is EPIC Books! Students are able to find books that interest them and that are on grade level for them! According to one of my students, “We love EPIC! All of the books we read have good details!”. A majority of third graders love to read a book of facts called “Weird but True” and they enjoy sharing the facts they have learned.

We even utilize this resource in our reading groups. In our reading groups we are reading all sorts of interesting and fun books. In our reading groups we will be reading both fiction and non-fiction books. Some of the books we are currently reading include a book about Amelia Earhart, Lonnie Johnson, and even a book about a Sumo Kitty!

One of the cool things about EPIC is that it tracks our reading. In the last month our class has read 117 books!
