Agenda 2/6 – 2/10

Here’s a look at what we have planned in third this week:

Social studies: students are catching up on their social studies projects and reading assignments coming back from the snow days. We will start their tri-fold board projects on Wednesday. We can’t wait to share them with you!

Math: students are learning how to find the perimeter this week and more about the attributes of polygons. Today students compared the area and perimeter of shapes.

Writing: this week students will practice writing in cursive, review parts of speech, and finish typing their poetry pieces. We will circle back to the writing about reading unit as we start a new book with cross circular focus!

Spelling: the spelling words this week are the same students brought home with them on Friday. They are sight words, homophones, and academic vocabulary.

Reading: we are finishing our class reading of Horrible Harry Moves Up to Third Grade and continuing class discussions about it. Students will also read some pieces on black history month/influential activists with comprehension questions.

Have a great week!
