Characterization Project

After finishing their book club reading, students worked together on a project to show what they learned about the main character of the story. They identified at least one example of each of the four types of character conflicts (character vs. character, character vs. self, character vs. nature, and character vs. society). They used their opinion essay writing skills to write an essay to describe at least three character traits of the main character, using specific text evidence to support their opinion. Finally, they illustrated their main character and used some creative and critical thinking skills to identify a “Top 10” list for their character. This top ten list is a list of tangible and intangible items that they think would be important to the character and why. Take a look at their awesome projects, and ask your child what items were on their personal Top 10 list!
