Here’s what we’ll be up to next week:

Reading: We’ll be finishing up our Book Buddy Book Study. (Those students with longer books may go into the following week.)

Writing: We’ll work on composing compare/contrast essays. *Note: The kids are now preparing to enter some of their writings and creative works into the LAD Fair competition. We’ve talked about this in class, so please ask your child what they plan on submitting!*

Math: More practice on adding and subtracting fractions. (This is a tougher skill, and the kids are doing great; please commend your child on their hard work!!)

Science: We will dive into Newton’s Laws of Motion.

Spelling: There WILL NOT be a spelling unit next week. Instead, we will be focusing on using quotation marks correctly in our writings.

Remember that there is no school on Monday for Martin Luther King, Jr., Day. Have a wonderful long weekend!
