The First Americans

Hello everyone!

This week, the students began a project on the first Americans.  They analyzed and compared a handful of print and online resources about the different theories concerning how the first people arrived on the American continents.  Throughout the week, we have been talking about how archaeologists learn from dig sites and how they put together theories of what has happened in the past.  We have also discussed research skills and the importance of keeping track of your sources.  As the students wrap up their research, they will construct games to showcase what they have learned about this time period.  I’m looking forward to seeing their beautiful (and informative!) creations!
