Library Center

Yesterday, the fifth and sixth graders took a trip to the Library Center.  The students worked together in small mixed-grade groups to complete a scavenger hunt which included instructions like “find a book by your favorite author” and “find a book that contains maps”.  The hunt led them all over the library, drawing attention to the various library resources that students can use to complete research projects or find books they would enjoy reading for fun.  After completing the scavenger hunt, students had the opportunity to look for and check out free-reading books and books that would help them research for upcoming science and history projects.  We had a great time exploring the library and spending time with the sixth graders!
