Week of 10/21 – 10/25

It’s been a busy week!  Here’s what we have been up to:

Reading: Starting to read Fatty Legs

Spelling/Grammar: Verbs!  We have learned about main/action and helping verbs.  We have also learned about the simple tense in past, present, and future.

Science: We learned about earthquakes and tsunamis this week. In addition to learning about what causes these events, we also learned about how people can predict and try to reduce the amount of damage/injury they cause.

Social Studies: We are wrapping up research this week.  Many students have begun work organizing their presentations.

Math: We are wrapping up our 3rd unit on adding and subtracting fractions and mixed numbers.  The assessment on this unit is tomorrow.
