In an exciting blend of literature and technology, our 5th graders have been busy bringing Roz, the robot from Peter Brown’s beloved book <\/span>The Wild Robot<\/span><\/i>, to life in STEM. Using Tinkercad, a user-friendly 3D design tool, the students designed their own versions of Roz, combining creativity with STEM skills.<\/span><\/p>

The project began with a deep dive into <\/span>The Wild Robot<\/i> last year, where students explored Roz’s character and the story’s themes of nature, survival, and technology. Inspired by Roz’s adventures, each student imagined what Roz might look like, capturing the essence of a robot trying to adapt in the wilderness.<\/span><\/p>

This project not only reinforced the students’ understanding of the book but also introduced them to important concepts in 3D modeling and printing. It was a perfect blend of art, literature, and technology, encouraging students to think creatively and problem-solve.<\/span><\/p>

By bringing Roz to life, our 5th graders didn’t just read about a robot’s adventures\u2014they lived them, proving once again that when imagination meets technology, anything is possible.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
