Last week was a great celebration of the first trimester.\u00a0 Over this week and next, students will see new units, start new projects, and engage in Jump Up Day to learn a little more about the transition to middle school!\u00a0 Tuesday is a Uniform Buy Out Day.\u00a0 Thursday is a half-day, with 1pm dismissal.\u00a0 There will be no school on Friday to make room for parent\/teacher conferences. Here’s what we’re doing in the classroom:<\/p>\n
Reading: We will be learning about the structure of informative readings.\u00a0 Understanding how pieces are structured helps students understand, organize, classify, and make connections with the information contained.\u00a0 This week we will learn about chronological, compare\/contrast, and cause\/effect structures.<\/p>\n
