Dear Summit Parents,

I am looking forward to another CREATIVE year of teaching ART to your children!!!
This is my 6th year of teaching ART at The Summit. I am part-time so I teach M,W,F and half day on Tuesdays. Art classes meet two days per week and I teach all ages of students, Beginners through High School. My goal as an art educator has been to create an integrated art program that correlates art to all subjects across the curriculum.
I truly love getting to know all of the students at our school each year and teaching all of the various ages levels, 3 year olds through high school. It is wonderful to have this consistency and be able to work with the students year after year. It allows me an opportunity to get to know each individual student, along with their families, siblings, parents and grandparents too! If you are new to The Summit, I look forward to getting to know you and your children. They will be able to join our returning students as we take up where we left off and continue an educational journey through art. I enjoy teaching and it is very rewarding to see each student grow as they become one of our creative talented Summit Artists.
I also teach art, musical theatre and acting classes in The Summit’s after school enrichment program on Mondays and Wednesdays. In my spare time, I serve as President of the Branson Regional Arts Council, Education Adviser and Producer for the BRAC Community Theatre plays and musicals at the Historic Owen Theatre. My own children are grown and currently living on each coast so The Summit helps fill that void. The Summit Community has become my extended family and I am so proud of our students. I am truly thankful that I found this little gem of educational excellence here in the Ozarks!
Please see the attached art supply list for each grade level and remember to stop by the ART ROOM on the 1st FLOOR to visit. I would love to meet you and show off our creative art space. I’m looking forward to seeing you soon!
Sincerely,
Lisa Murphy
