Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow

The weather outside is frightful so stay inside where it is delightful! I’ve listed a few ideas to help keep you busy.

  1. Snuggle up and read a book about winter. Drink some hot chocolate while you enjoy your book!
  2. Color a winter picture!
  3. Count as high as you can go. Try clapping the numbers as you go. Or you might want to stomp it out or snap it out!
  4. Have a dance party! Turn on your favorite music and get your groove on!
  5. Use cottonballs (pretend they are snowballs) to practice counting.
  6. You Tube Brain Breaks or Simple Songs to get some wiggles out. Plus, you could find a good book to watch.
  7. Write your name, letters, numbers and shapes in shaving cream, sugar or salt.
  8. Use toothpicks and mini marshmallows to build a snow fort at the kitchen table.
  9. Spread out a blanket and have an indoor picnic.
  10. Build a blanket fort.
  11. Play a board game with your family.
  12. Make a delicious snack.
  13. Make “snow”. Using 1/2 cup of white conditioner and 3 cups of baking soda and presto, you have snow!
  14. Cut snowflakes using coffee filters or paper cut into a circle. Fold into a triangle and snip away!
  15. Practice writing your name using markers, pens, chalk, etc. Anything fun you can find will work!

Most importantly, stay warm, stay safe and have fun!! 🙂
