Ee as in Emergency Technician!

This morning we had a visit from an Emergency Technician.  Our community helper explained how he helps people who are sick or hurt.  He works on an ambulance!  He demonstrated the equipment and uniform that he uses for protection while he works.

Today we read a story about Elmo’s friend Dorothy.  Dorothy is Elmo’s pet fish!  Our Early Learner’s laughed out loud throughout this story as Elmo worked very hard to create the perfect birthday party for his friend.

When our story was finished, each child had the opportunity to create a picture of Elmo using an upper case E, a sponge and bright red paint!  We’ll add the finishing touches tomorrow!

Our Early Learners are amazed at all the words that begin with E!  They love connecting the sounds this vowel makes with familiar words!
