What do you see when you look up to the sky?

It was a cloudy day in Early Learners! We read the story ‘Little Cloud’ by Eric Care.  In this story, a little cloud moves and drifts downward and upward observing creatures below him on land and in sea.  By making himself grow larger, the little cloud to form into the animals he saw as he traveled through the sky.

Our Early Learners walked outside, looked up in the air and using their imaginations, they were able to see a variety of animals and objects!

“I looked up in the sky and thought I saw a_________, but it was just a cloud in the sky.”  They saw …

  •  a cheetah
  • an airplane
  • a rocket ship
  • a dog
  • a unicorn
  • a hand
  • a tiger
  • a lion
  • and a giraffe!

Our Early Learners turned small cotton balls into puffy white clouds!  With a gently pinch and pull, they exercised their fine motor skills to create the characters they saw when they looked up into the sky!
