Wednesday, May 10th: A Visit From Our Springfield Librarian!

This morning we had a wonderful visit from the Librarian from The Library Center in Springfield!  She came here to invite our Early Learners to participate in the Springfield Library Summer Reading Program!  She encouraged our students to visit the library, take out books, and read stories they enjoy.  She also told our young students that they can get their own library card!  They were very excited about that!

The Reading Program gives our students the opportunity to keep their brains learning and growing throughout the summer.  Every time your child spends time looking at books, or is read to by an adult, they can record it on the poster provided.  When the poster is complete, they will earn prizes.  When you visit the library pick up a Summer Reading Poster and keep track of the books that have been read!

This is a great way to help your child get excited about regularly visiting the library and most importantly, reading!
