Research Project Management and Scholar Bowl!

Science Research Project Management

As we look towards wrapping up this first semester, the students have collaborated to create a group research project which will wrap up in the spring followed by independent research projects. The topics range from considering microplastics’ impact on ant habitat construction to flood mitigation and management, to a wide range of experiments involving human subjects. When we return in January, students will put their planning to the test and begin carrying out their experiments. It has been a treat to work with the students, better understand their interests, and develop research projects to maintain their interests! It looks like we will have project submissions for the Ozarks Science and Engineering Fair taking place in March 2025.

Scholar Bowl

Our newly formed scholar bowl team had their first competition last Saturday. The questions were challenging and the team had a strong first round and made it into the championship group. The team will continue to compete throughout the spring. Great work!
