{"id":5589,"date":"2026-02-18T18:16:40","date_gmt":"2026-02-18T18:16:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thesummitprep.org\/highschool\/?p=5589"},"modified":"2026-02-18T18:16:40","modified_gmt":"2026-02-18T18:16:40","slug":"from-logos-to-ethos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thesummitprep.org\/highschool\/2026\/02\/18\/from-logos-to-ethos\/","title":{"rendered":"From Logos to Ethos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This week, we began our shift from logos to ethos; I also introduced the summative project that will require both those modes of persuasion in addition to pathos, which we examined last semester.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Students are encouraged to choose a local issue that they are passionate about \u2013 or at least interested in \u2013 to continue working with throughout the semester. As we discuss and actively participate in evaluating and annotating sources, students will be interviewing a leader from a local nonprofit organization that is related to their topic.
