3rd Trimester Celebration

Thank you to everyone who was able to attend our third trimester celebration today!  It is always fun to look at end-of-year portfolios and cherish the memories from a wonderful year of learning and growing.  I hope you and your child enjoyed browsing every work sample and picture.  We will send home portfolios after using them with grandparents on Grandparents Day (May 7).  Be sure to fill this form out so we know who is approved to pick up your child that day.  After looking at portfolios, we painted pieces for a class windchime.  I will work on getting the pieces glossed and assembled over the next several days and send a picture when it is complete!  The finished work will hang on our playground for everyone to admire.  The plants you took home today have been growing in our classroom for over 5 weeks!  They are marigolds.  I recommend replanting them in a larger pot or in your garden.  Make sure you give them plenty of sunlight and water. Your child is used to the responsibility of watering their plant daily, but may need gentle reminders from time to time. I hope you also got a chance to say hello and welcome Ms. Ursino, our long-term sub.  Don’t forget: no school tomorrow!  Enjoy the “home stretch holiday.”
