Farewell Party

Yesterday after school we took some time to celebrate the wonderful year we’ve had together and say our goodbyes before I start my maternity leave.  Our party started with some bubble machine and playground fun. The weather was perfect yesterday!  After returning indoors, the students decorated sugar cookies using colorful frosting and sprinkles.  Then, we culminated the party by watching a Disney documentary called Wings of Life. For me, it was a chance to watch the kids play and interact and think about all of their unique personalities and special quirks.  I also took time to cherish the memories we’ve made together and look back at all the academic and social growth made this year, with more still yet to come over the last few weeks of school.  Thank you to the class for the adorably thoughtful “Baby’s First Alphabet” book, chocolate, and water bottle.  I will remember this group of children and their families forever!  Check out the pictures of our celebration below.  Enjoy these last few busy weeks of school, have an amazing summer, and I will see you all as FIRST GRADERS next year!

Don’t forget, I will be on maternity leave for the duration of the school year, so please contact our classroom sub, Ms. Lanae Ursino, or the front desk, if you need anything.
