Show and Tell!

We had a wonderful Show and Tell this morning as a part of our Character Education lesson about feeling shy. Each student got the chance to speak in front of their peers. They shared what they felt was important about their item and why they chose it, then answered a few questions from their peers. The students enjoyed learning about the special items in their friends’ lives and felt pride in sharing their own.

As we reflected on the activity afterwards, most students shared that they did not feel shy presenting to our class because they felt comfortable with their peers. We agreed that having a great audience full of active listeners makes it easier to feel comfortable in front of a group. Our new class goal is to be the most respectful listeners we can be.

A quick reminder about Grandparents’ Day:
Grandparents’ Day is next Tuesday (May 7) and it will be here before we know it! The fun will wrap up around 11am, and students will be dismissed at that time. If you would like for your child to leave with their grandparent, you must fill out the Google Form below to give them permission, even if their grandparent is already on the normal pick-up list. Thanks in advance!
