Summit students have been busy over the last few days! We’ve had field trips, tea parties, early learners buddy time, study sessions for History Bowl, practicing our quill pen writing, stellar rounds in archery, and more! In history, students have been focused on primary sources connected to the Revolutionary Era in the United States. They’ve done a great job unpacking the detail in the documents and working through understanding and paraphrasing. We’ve read a source from the Boston Tea Party, Patrick Henry’s “Give Me Liberty” speech, and the Declaration of Independence. We’re striving to define words like liberty and freedom in the context of the Revolutionary Era and the Enlightenment. Middle school students are also gearing up for their next quiz, which will happen next week prior to conferences.

The Summit Preparatory School is a fully accredited, non-religious, private school offering a full-time seated independent education for students in Springfield, Ozark, Nixa, Rogersville, and the greater Southwest Missouri area. Our preparatory school setting offers an enriching early childhood, elementary, middle school, and high school curriculum in a supportive environment. We have state of the art facilities, highly-qualified teachers and staff, and a large range of educational programming. Interested in enrolling your child? Learn more about our admissions process.
