Social Studies Update

Students in sixth grade have studied the Early Republic and completed an assessment to show their understanding of the era on Thursday of last week. They are now moving into a study of abolition and the Civil War, as are the seventh and eighth grade students.

Seventh and eighth grade students are doing a deeper dive into abolition and advocacy during the 19th century, and they’ll be presenting their research to their classmates this week. Some chose to create posters, others chose to practice their writing skills in an essay, and others opted for creating a presentation.
