Students in Algebra II have completed a mini-unit on transformations of functions. After studying a wide range of functions and how to shift them on a graph, students then used this knowledge to create a design for a coloring page. The page had to include at least three different functions, four transformations from the parent functions, and symmetry along an axis of the graph. Students wrote equations for each of the lines on the graphs. Then students transferred their designs (or parts of their designs) onto pieces of clothing for a paper doll. Below you can see some of the designs, equations, and how they look as clothing.<\/p>\n
