Ratios show up all the time in everyday life! We focused on how equivalent ratios create the same color of paint in different amounts and allow us to make recipes that taste the same, even if a smaller or larger batch is needed.\u00a0<\/p>
Integrated Math – Integrated Math students have been working on scale copies. They worked to identify scale copies, fill in missing measurements in scaled copies, and determine scale factor. In the past week, they completed an understanding check and an activity where they observed that diagonals of scaled rectangles line up with each other. They reviewed what they had already studied in previous classes and are now applying it to determine if equations are equivalent. The two methods we have discussed so far are manipulating the equations to make them match and finding the solution and see if it works for both equations.
