Hello Summit Family!
I hope you are all doing well, and I miss having class with everyone! I am very thankful for technology, so we can be “together” while we are physically apart. Physical Education Class has taken a whole new look as we have moved to Distance Learning.
For Kindergarten through 2nd grade, classroom teachers are posting a P.E. Google Doc link in their daily lesson plans on their Tuesday an Thursday lessons. Mrs. Teed is popping into the classroom teacher’s Zoom meetings on Tuesdays to say hello and interact with the students.
For 3rd through 8th grade, class activities are posted weekly on our P.E. Google Classroom. Most weeks, there will be one or more activities post, and I am expecting each student to participate in, at least, one of the activities. In addition to Google Classroom activities, I hold a weekly P.E. Zoom meeting on Thursdays for the different grade levels. This meeting is not required, but it is strongly suggested for any updates or questions that come up during the week.
I look forward to seeing every students physically face to face next school year, but I am so thankful to at least have the opportunity to weekly catch up digitally face to face for the rest of the 2019-2020 school year!
