High school students in the Philosophy elective presented on famous philosophers of their choice this week. Included in their study was Machiavelli, Lao Tzu, Rousseau, Nietzsche, and Kant. Next week, students return to their reading of Justice, where they will do a deeper dive into the philosophy of Kant and some reasonable objections to it. They’re doing a great job making important connections and utilizing utilitarianism and libertarianism in each argument we encounter, and they’re also able to make these connections in their world history class, adding great benefit to their classmates.
