Science Update

Middle School Ecology
Students have been presenting their findings on different types of recycling, including how various materials get recycled, as well as how our school can be more effective in how we recycle these materials.

High School Chemistry
Students have covered a wide range of material in chemistry this year. The final topic they are looking at is Entropy. This is a large concept, with many different facets, and it is something that will be looked at in new ways during next year’s physics class.

Middle School STEM
Students are busily wrapping up projects as we near the end of the year. It has been an action-packed year with several students competing in STEM competitions while many others have been working on independent projects.

High School STEM
Students have been looking at our backyard and what projects might be needed. There are pollinators and birds that need monitoring, as well as invasive species that need mitigation. Students have been exploring issues and possible solutions to gain a better understanding of the relationships between species in our backyard.
